Exuma Cays Aerial Views

I
If you are into blue & turquoise you will love the northern Exuma Cays!
Both of the above pictures were captured on a not so sunny day but that's going to be one of the best times to really bring out the Bahamian water colors without any editing or a polarizing filter.
In fact, I've found that my Sony a6000 really hates having a polarizing filter attached :(
I'm no genius when it comes to camera talk but, my Exuma photos captured using a filter didn't turn out all that well ?.. So to make a long story short, if you are a casual shooter or travel blogger I would leave the lens filters at home and opt for either a smaller "big sensor" travel cam or an iPhone 7 plus which I personally always have on hand and find that I use more often than not.
The "big sensor" cam I'm referring to would be a Sony RX100 or other comparable camera.
The Sony just can't be beat if you are trying to make money shooting stock photography for sites like Eyeem or 500PX and want images that can be enlarged without degrading the image too much.
The iPhone 7 & 7 plus will work better for the social media angle but I have sold many smartphone photos so don't rule those iPhones or Android phones out for making some extra stock photography cash!
If you are wondering how to get out here to grab some pics of your own I could recommend a couple of options. First pick would be for those who aren't big on flying or maybe you are packing a drone along on the trip but, that would be Powerboat Adventures.
Again this would be the recommended form of travel for the drone photographer who is looking for the most advantageous way to cover some good water without going broke. I'm not sure how receptive Powerboat Adventures is to drone pilots so make sure you ask before booking the trip!
If being up in the sky is more your thing than I would recommend Trans Island Airways in which case I would most likely be your pilot on a photo adventure extraordinaire :)
Depending on which aircraft you choose would determine the cost but, I can tell you straight out that the Cessna 206 Amphibian would be the best choice for a Bahamas photography adventure.
