Welcome to the Beach

Here and Now:

Our current adventures begin on Love Beach located in Nassau on the Island of New Providence. This beautiful area on the west end of the Island is a prime destination for snorkeling. Approximately one mile off shore lies a 40-acre coral reef serving as home to many tropical species of fish and fauna.  Swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding to the reef provides a lifetime of wonder and amazement. The Love Beach shoreline begins at Compass Point Resort owned by recording mogul Chris Blackwell. Here you will find the island’s Junkanoo flavor and culture with brightly colored huts lining cobblestone walkways and oceanfront dining. Moving west along the shore Nirvana is always ready to quench your thirst offering beachfront cocktails, live music, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and a full day of fun soaking up the sun and splashing in the surf. Nirvana is the only location along Love Beach offering public parking and access to the beach and reefs. For aviation enthusiast, they will be thrilled as planes overhead come in low on the approach to runway 14 at Lynden Pindling International airport. Nearing the end of the approximate two mile stretch of  Love Beach, sunset lovers are delighted with the most awe inspiring sunsets Nassau has to offer.

The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the imagination and brings eternal joy to the soul.  -Wyland

To me the sea is a continual miracle; The fishes that swim–the rocks–the motion of the waves–the ships, with men in them, What stranger miracles are there? -Walt Whitman

Every time I stand before a beautiful beach, its waves seem to whisper to me: If you choose the simple things and find joy in nature’s simple treasures, life and living need not be so hard. -Psyche Mendoza
