Reminiscing of Ventures Past: A New York Summer
Of course when living in paradise along the shores of Love Beach, the statement, "Summer season is ending," is easy to misunderstand. For millions it denotes a change in weather switching out seasonal clothing from flip flops and swimsuits to long sleeves, jeans, and closed toed shoes. For us lucky island teachers it means meeting new smiling faces ready and eager to absorb all the knowledge we can share in ten months. Our flip flops and swimsuits will never be put away because at the end of each school day, we are fortunate enough to be able to return to the shore to rejuvenate our eagerness and desire to teach.
